As a top-ranked executive with Wells Fargo Bank, he managed the Silicon Valley Region, the $12 BB northern California division, and created the Premier Banking platform, a breakthrough technology-driven wealth management model organized around 240,000 of the retails banks' most valuable customers--a model which has since been adopted by most of the world’s leading banks. As a co-founder of the Tiburon family of international seed funds, he has realized 21 successful exits, including Xing, Trivago, Cadooz, and Lokalisten.de. As founder/co-founder and CEO, he has pioneered new business models with GetSmart.com, GetMobileEurope.de, and Hometown Commercial Capital. As a manager, he has led small nimble teams, and organizations of 15,000 employees. His business building methods have been featured at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, and at The World Bank, and are the subject of a forthcoming book published by Berrett-Koehler (Fall, 2014), entitled "Six Secrets".
