Event Background
Electric vehicles (EVs) is becoming more and more popular in ASEAN. Given the rising global concerns about climate change, pollution, and the need to transition to sustainable energy sources, many countries and regions, including ASEAN, have been actively promoting the adoption of electric vehicles. Accoridng to Mordor Intelligence’s data, the ASEAN Electric Vehicle Market size is expected to grow from USD 858.76 million in 2023 to USD 3,537.65 million by 2028, at a CAGR of 32.73% during the forecast period (2023-2028). The growth of electric vehicles offers various benefits, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving air quality, and decreasing dependence on fossil fuels.
The ASEAN Electric Vehicle Summit is dedicated to discussing and promoting the adoption of electric vehicles within the ASEAN region. The summit aims to bring together government officials, industry leaders, experts, researchers, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge, showcase technological advancements, and discuss policy initiatives related to electric mobility.
The event will gather about 100 automotive industry experts, and provide a platform for participants to discuss topics such as electric vehicle infrastructure development, charging technologies, battery technologies, regulatory frameworks, market incentives, and the overall potential and challenges of electric vehicle adoption in ASEAN countries.
